¡hola!

LET US TELL YOU A BIT MORE ABOUT US

Our mission at Spanish Academy of the Rockies is to provide students with opportunities to learn a language from native Spanish-speaking teachers who will show you how fun it is learning from firsthand experience and understanding the culture behind the language.

In response to the high demand for Spanish as a second language. The Spanish Academy of the Rockies offers in-person private or group classes. We also offer online Spanish classes, which may be more convenient for those in South Denver Metro and Douglas County, including Centennial and Littleton.

We understand the importance of learning functional communication skills in a second language, especially in today's globalized world. Our mission at Spanish Academy of the Rockies is to provide our students with firsthand experiences and an understanding of the culture behind the Spanish language.

WHO ARE WE - QUIÉNES SOMOS

We are a group of enthusiasts for the Spanish language and culture. We have learned our second language as adults, and we have kids who have experienced second language learning from an early age, and we know that it is possible to achieve this goal. You can be bilingual, and we will teach you the best practices to help you succeed in acquiring a second language, enabling you to communicate effectively in both Spanish and English.

The majority of people have had this dream for a long time, and now you have found the professionals who can help you make it a reality. We learned, and we want you to learn as well.

We will tell you stories and experiences from our cultures. We will answer questions about grammar if you need them, correct your pronunciation like a native speaker, and have conversations in Spanish with you.

You will be able to understand a Spanish Speaker talking to you, and you will be able to answer. This is the best way to learn, as it gets your ears accustomed to the sounds.

WHO WILL TEACH YOU?

Hola! I am the principal teacher behind The Spanish Academy of the Rockies. My name is Barbara Acuña Kaneb, and I am from Chile. I came to the U.S.A. in 2015 after meeting my husband, who was studying Spanish in Santiago de Chile.

Since 2015, I have been teaching Spanish to people in CO after realizing how fascinating it is to learn a second language, seeing my husband improve his Spanish, and learning English myself. I wanted to share this exciting feeling with everyone who wants to become bilingual one day. I've seen dozens of people become bilingual and feel proud of it. My husband and I are both bilingual now, raising two bilingual boys, and are proud to be a bilingual, multicultural family.

If you are here to start from the beginning, improve what you have already learned, or want to make your family bilingual too, my husband, I, and the little team we have are immensely grateful to be able to offer you Spanish classes.
